The missing link in optimization is tools which support the formulation of optimization problems in the same way that the process of general-purpose programming is supported by debuggers, special editors, etc. MProbe is a software tool for probing optimization models to identify characteristics which are important in optimization, such as the convexity of constraints in nonlinear programming, or the effectiveness of the constraints.
